LMI Aerospace rises on higher Q4 earnings

LMI Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq: LMIA) shares are rising after the maker of airplane parts posted after the opening a 43% surge in fourth-quarter earnings. The St. Charles, Mo.-based company earned $3.8 million, or $0.34 per share, up 41% from $2.7 million, or $0.24 per share, a year earlier. The quarterly earnings met Wall Street analysts’ expectations. Quarterly revenue soared 81% to $54.6 million, from $30.2 million during the same period of 2006. Analysts predicted $55.8 million in revenue for the three-month period ended Dec. 31.
