Amtech Systems falls after missing Q2 estimates

Amtech Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASYS) shares are falling 12% after the Tempe, Ariz.-based maker of semiconductor fabrication equipment reported second-quarter earnings of $0.2 million, or $0.02 per share, versus $0.3 million, or $0.05 per share, a year earlier. Analysts expected earnings of $0.14 per share. The company’s net revenue during the quarter rose to $17.6 million from $10.5 million a year earlier. Analysts projected $20.5 million.
