Copernic launches mobile with Apple iPhone/iPod touch interface

Copernic Inc. (Nasdaq: CNIC), which specializes in internet search technology and online advertising, this morning announced the launch of an updated version of its “Copernic Mobile” that now includes a new Apple iPhone/iPod Touch-optimized user interface.

Copernic says the updated mobile product offers a more user-friendly experience when remotely searching for and accessing file content. The device now automatically detects the user's mobile device and optimizes its website for display on a standard mobile phone, an iPhone/iPod or a computer, Copernic said.

The small cap said it is actively working to license the product to wireless operators.

Shares of Copernic (CNIC) jumped 32.51%, or $0.92, to $3.75 in pre-market trading. Shares of Copernic have been trading in the range of $ for the past 52 weeks.
