Mentor Graphics posts smaller-than-forecasted Q2 loss, issued upbeat guidance

Software and hardware design provider Mentor Graphics Corp. (Nasdaq:MENT) this morning reported a smaller-than-forecasted loss in the second quarter, while revenues trumped the consensus on Wall Street.
Adding to the upbeat financial report, the company also issued fiscal 2009 and third-quarter revenue guidance above estimates and third-quarter earnings guidance in line with the Street.
