Shares of GeoMet, Inc. (Nasdaq:GMET) are getting a pop in mid-afternoon trading after the energy company said that the Virginia Supreme Court unanimously ruled in its favor in the pipeline right of way dispute between the company and CNX Gas Co.

The opinion issued this morning reversed the interlocutory order issued May 23, 2007 by the Circuit Court of Buchanan County, Virginia and held that a lease between CNX and Pocahontas Mining did not grant CNX an exclusive right to transport gas across PMC’s property.

Shares gained 21.41%, or $0.68, to $6.16 mid-afternoon. For detailed price information and news stories on GeoMet, click GMET.
