Capital Corp. of the West fires VP and general counsel

California regional bank Capital Corp. of the West (Nasdaq:CCOW)said in an SEC filing late Monday that it terminated the company’s executive vice president and general counsel, Richard De La Peña. Shares lost 5.8%, or $0.50, to $8.10 in pre-market trading.
