MSC Software down on lower Q3 revenueMSC Software Corp. The company expects to report third-quarter results on Nov. 6. The Santa Ana, Calif.-based firm is holding a conference call at 5 p.m. to discuss financial performance and other topics. In afternoon trading, MSCS shares are down 3.48%, or $0.50, at $13.86. Over the last 52 weeks, shares have ranged from $11.44 to $16.54.

(Nasdaq: MSCS), a global provider of simulation software and services, said this morning that it anticipates third-quarter revenues below the consensus on Wall Street. For the third quarter ended Sept. 30, the Santa Ana, Calif.-based firm said it expects revenue of approximately $57 million, below the consensus of four analysts polled by Thomson Financial of revenues of $60.65 million. MSC said it expects to report third-quarter results on Nov. 6 and file its Form 10-Q for the third quarter on Nov. 9th. Shares of MSC Software (MSCS) were halted in pre-market trading.
